Message from the Chairman
The task in hand for the Black Country area of delivering more jobs and economic growth is a significant one and the formation of the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnerships was the easy part.
Being part of a Local Enterprise Partnership isn’t about the individuals around the Board table it is about our collective actions to improve the Black Country economy. We are targeting the removal of barriers to business growth and our ambitious goals are to achieve an increase in our collective productivity by £6.2bn p.a. and grow employment by 14% over 20 years.
On this website you will discover activity and initiatives that partners from the private, public and voluntary sectors are already working on – planning – transport – business advice – social enterprise – education & skills – changing perceptions – trading internationally and access to finance, however this is your LEP and we are always interested in hearing about areas that we need to do more about to tackle barriers to business prosperity in the Black Country.
If you would like to hear more or put forward matters that are important to you and your employees please contact me or the secretariat team. You can use the Contact Us page.
We are always learning and there is a long way to go but I hope you will see that things are moving in the right direction.
We look forward to hearing from you and working with you.
Stewart Towe CBE
