LMI Toolkit
The Black Country Labour Market Information (LMI) toolkit is a free, easy to use platform which will satisfy your local LMI needs. There are many sources of LMI across the country and region, however, many of these do not focus on specific detailed localities. This toolkit is unique in its ability to define comprehensive LMI to town level across the Black Country.
Any organisation that is involved in driving the economy, or in fostering economic growth, might well use LMI to help them understand aspects of the economy in which they operate. Labour Market Intelligence (LMI) is vital in ensuring that careers education advice and guidance (for both young people and adults) reflects an understanding of what business and jobs are available in the locality. Good LMI should give an understanding of the demographics of the locality as well as key sectors, job trends, key strategic businesses and what opportunities exist within the locality. We have designed our LMI toolkit for the Black Country so that it can service multiple users.
