Working Without Fear Sentinel event

Sentinel is a West Midlands Police initiative which aims to raise awareness of hidden crimes in order to better gather intelligence, support victims and tackle perpetrators.

In England and Wales domestic abuse costs £1.9 billion a year in lost economic output. This is due to decreased productivity, administration difficulties from unplanned time off, lost wages and sick pay. Domestic abuse can impact negatively on an employee’s health and wellbeing. It can impact on staff morale as well as organisational image and reputation.

On Thursday 1st December 2016 at Tally Ho, Pershore Road, Birmingham, B5 7RN, West Midlands Police will be hosting a conference to raise awareness of vulnerabilities within the work place.

This conference will help you spot the signs of domestic abuse, stalking and harassment and unwanted sexual contact within the work place and will equip you with the knowledge on how you can best support victims and know your legal obligations.
