Sandwell Business Ambassadors host successful Google Digital Garage event

Sandwell Business Ambassadors hosted a successful event with Google Digital Garage at Sandwell Business Solutions Centre, offering local businesses free advice and coaching on their digital skills to help them grow their business, career and confidence.

Three courses were available on the day to introduce the main digital marketing channels, explore how to create compelling content for social media and look at how insights based on marketing can help your business grow.

Alan Taylor, Chair of Sandwell Business Ambassadors, said:

“This was the first event that the ambassadors have held as a collective and we’re incredibly pleased with the results – it had a great turnout and we received positive feedback regarding the workshops we selected with Google Digital Garage.

“We’re looking forward to setting up additional events in the future to help local businesses and business owners to enhance their skills, knowledge and confidence.”

The Google Digital Garage is one of Google’s flagship investment programmes in the UK, where everyone can come and learn free digital skills through a range of courses or one-to-one sessions. Since launching in 2015, over 300,000 people have benefitted from Google’s free face-to-face training on digital know-how across 250 locations in the UK.
