Midlands Trade and Investment Mission to China

As part of Five Year Strategic Plan between Nottingham (UK) and Ningbo (China), Nottingham City Council has committed to organise a business delegation to visit China in April, 2018.

During the Fair in Ningbo, a specific pavilion will be set for Midlands (UK), all businesses will be allocated a free space at the pavilion and utilise the unique opportunity to showcase products/services/technologies to audiences. Meanwhile, a UK – China Trade & Investment Symposium is under planning, delegates will have the chance to promote and meet with local companies.

Businesses from following sectors in Midlands region are particularly welcomed:

  • Creative & Digital Technology
  • Media, Film & Television
  • Music
  • Fine Arts
  • History & Heritage
  • Literature
  • E-commerce Platform

Nottingham City Council will be attending and supporting the trip, facilitating meeting set up, supporting with translation and providing support with activities surrounding the trip making the coordination of such a visit as easy as possible. If you are looking to connect into the China market and you are working within the field of the CDI sector this will be a good opportunity for you to build your knowledge and networks. Nottingham will also be hosting an area of the expo for all our attendees who require stand space.

This event itself attracts around 116,000 visitors over the 4 day event, including approximately 30,000 business visitors. In 2016 approximately 7billionRMB of trade deals were conducted and the organisers are looking to build on this success. The Chinese community are very welcoming to international businesses and you will be well received and looked after by Ningbo Government should you wish to attend.
