Manufacturing skills for the future

Manufacture Your Future is a Black Country Skills Factory campaign to improve the perception of careers in the manufacturing sector by targeting schools, colleges, teachers, parents and pupils with careers information, advice and guidance.

It will be launched in summer 2014 and includes a locally developed mobile gaming app, career map and pathway information to study levels for typical jobs, and a dedicated microsite.

The Skills Factory reached a major milestone with 50 High Value Manufacturing SMEs signed up, benefitting from wage subsidies of up to £1,500 per apprentice.
