Investment boost

The Black Country LEP and Walsall were presented with awards as high-potential investment areas by The Financial Times FDI Magazine at the 2014 MIPIM property investment event. Wayne Langford, Head of Invest Black Country is pictured receiving the awards. 

The Black Country LEP was in the top 10 UK LEP category for strategy and attracting finance, investment and property development into the area. Walsall was ranked 7th for Business Friendliness in the Small City Category, above Oxford and Geneva.

Further good news for the Black Country saw 11 new foreign investment projects in the past year, securing 650 jobs in the area and generating over £12m of new investment in the Black Country.

A further boost is the Invest Black Country page is currently viewed more than any other on the online UKTI Local Investment Showcase.
