Grant funding is being offered to small or medium businesses for expansion or relocation in the Black Country – and also for developing, growing or diversifying within the ‘green’ sector.
Up to 25 per cent of eligible costs for property and infrastructure work could be covered by the Black Country Business Property Investment Programme (BCBPIP).
And between £20,000 and £1 million is available from the Green Bridge Supply Chain Programme for businesses to develop new markets, new products, skills or capital equipment in green sectors.
Black Country Business Property Investment Programme
The BCBPIP is a European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Programme which aims specifically to support small to medium sized (SME) companies by providing gap funding for infrastructure provision – whether this is through new or refurbished business premises (comprising B1, B2 and B8 uses, but not retail or residential development).
Grant funding would be awarded following a two stage process where applicants will be competing for resources at both stages.
A maximum of 25% of eligible funding is available through this programme for small and medium sized companies; these are companies with up to 250 employees. For full details, see the main Black Country Business Property Investment Programme page.
Green Bridge Supply Chain Programme
The Green Bridge Supply Chain Programme is a competition funded with £20m from the Regional Growth Fund. Existing SME supply chain companies are invited to apply for funding to develop, grow and diversify their businesses within the green sector across the West Midlands.
Grant support of between £20,000 and £1 million is available to develop new markets, new products, skills development and purchase of capital equipment.
Please note that this competition closes on the 28th November 2013. Detailed guidance on the application process is now available at www.birmingham.gov.uk/greenbridge
