City Deal - Working Together Final Year of Delivery

Earlier this year the ‘Working Together’ team held a celebration event for stakeholders to showcase the project’s successes and achievement. The key-note speaker at the event was Ruth Badger, who appeared in the first series of TV’s The Apprentice.

The pilot project, which began in 2014, is based on the US initiative, Jobs Plus. During the past 4 years, Working Together has supported over 440 people into employment and provided over 6,500 additional skills including digital inclusion, increase in skills & qualifications and improved confidence and motivation.

Project Director, Jacki Lakin, said:

“We are very proud of the successes delivered by our central team, community connectors and delivery partners and thank everyone who has been involved in the project, for what they have achieved so far”.

The project will continue until October 2018 and the team are currently seeking funding opportunities to extend or expand the project further in order to help more people. There will be a further Stakeholder event and Customer Celebrations.

For more information on the project, to register your interest at future events, or to share funding opportunities please email: jacki.lakin@accordgroup.org.uk
