Christmas is coming…search is on for subterranean Santa

Preparations are in full swing for the Santa Boat trips at Dudley Canal Trust.

For over 30 years, visitors have been taking the magical journey to visit Santa and his elves in an underground grotto deep in the Dudley Caverns.

Children are filled with excitement when taking the enchanting illuminated journey that truly brings the festive season to life. This year there will be music, a Hansel & Gretel pantomime and, of course, gifts for all the children.

"Christmas is such a special time and our visitors love to be able to see Santa on such a fun and exciting boat trip!” said Holly Wain, Heritage Activities Assistant

Bookings are already being taken and it looks set to be a very busy season full of festive cheer.

Dudley Canal and Tunnel Trust has plenty of Christmas jumpers for future members of the festive team. They are looking for anyone who looks good in red or green, can bellow a good ‘ho ho ho’, and is full of jolly festive magic. If you think this might be you then Dudley Canal Trust are asking you to get in touch.

Anyone who is interested in becoming a Dudley Canal Trust Santa or elf should call 0121 557 6265 or email info@dudleycanaltrust.org.uk for more details.
