The Big Potential investment fund launches on 18 June at The Crossing at St Paul’s in Walsall.
Big Potential is delivered by the Social Investment Business for voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs), of which there Are around 1,400 in the Black Country. Eligible VCSEs will be able to apply for grants of between £25,000 and £75,000 to support them in becoming investment ready by working with the programme’s approved providers.
Dr Chris Handy, Chief Executive of the Accord Group and Black Country LEP Board member for Enterprise said: "If we want the Black Country to become a hub for social entrepreneurship and the benefits this will bring to the region, we must champion and support social enterprises. The Big Potential offers both the financial and business support that can help social enterprises to scale up, become business ready and secure investment, meaning that they can make a greater social impact.”
