This event produced by the Black Country Skills Factory and the Black Country Ladder will showcase the many Job roles & opportunities available within local Government across the four Black Country Local Authorities of Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton and will take place on Wednesday 25th August 10am - 12pm.
As young people make their transition into Post 16 education, choosing the right career/pathway is an important step. This Learnlive event will also raise awareness of the opportunities available through the apprenticeship route to enter Local Government, build your career and serve your local community.
The session includes information from lots of different departments across the four boroughs: what they are looking for in future talent to enhance and build their business, where to find current vacancies, how to apply, tips on completing applications and attending interviews. You will hear first-hand from Apprentices talking about their journey.
Apprenticeships range from Intermediate Level 2 to Degree Level 7. The session shows how these are utilized to develop staff within the Councils to succeed in their career. There will also be representatives from each Council on hand to answer any questions you may have during the event.
