- Plans For Growth
The Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership understands the need to improve its Business Base.
By 2033, we aspire to raise the number of local jobs from 446,000 to 577,280 and raise the total employment rate from 66.5% to 80% (plus 96,890 people into jobs).
Our aim is to support an extra 2,189 companies to start up each year, and to focus on driving growth through our key strategic companies raising GVA in the area to £36bn per annum by 2030.
To help us achieve this vision and building upon our historic and emerging strengths we have identified five priority transformational sectors to drive change. They are: advanced manufacturing including food and drink; transport technologies including aerospace; construction including building technologies; environmental technologies and business services.
Bugatti brake castings, Airbus Actuators, JLR engines and the Match of the Day chairs – we are building on world class excellence in design, development and manufacturing.
