Local Industrial Strategy Evidence Base
The West Midlands Combined Authority Local Industrial Strategy (WM LIS) aims to deliver economic growth and drive productivity in a way which fundamentally improves opportunities for all communities, businesses and residents.
As a globally competitive economy, we know our strengths and are taking control of our future; we are growing fast, implementing our 2016 SEP and investment programmes in infrastructure, housing and skills.
Collaborative working to develop the 2016 SEP and independent Commissions has put the region in a position where we know our economy better than ever before.
Underpinned by this robust and vast evidence base, the WM LIS has been informed by a wide range of evidence which has been co-ordinated by the Black Country Economic Intelligence Unit on behalf of the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA).
This includes 3 core documents set out below:
- WM LIS Foundations of Productivity Evidence Pack and WMCA State of the Region
- WM LIS Sector Evidence Executive Summary
- WM LIS Sector Evidence Full Pack
We will continue to develop our evidence base as our sector action planning work and the recommendation(s) from the expert panel are taken into account.
